PROJECT EVALUATION

Do you have plans to set up a new service and need someone to conduct an independent evaluation of its achievements? Would you like this to be done by someone with personal experience of how hard it is to put new ideas into practise?

I can work with you from the beginning to design useful but low-hassle record keeping systems and ways to record the processes as well as the outcomes. I have a reputation for completing final reports on time and, if appropriate can write your project up in different formats to disseminate your findings to a range of audiences.

FOR EXAMPLE

An alcohol counselling agency in the UK had the opportunity to experiment with placing counsellors within primary health care teams. They hoped to make the service more accessible to potential clients and to raise the doctors' and nurses' awareness of alcohol's role on their patients' problems. Over 3 years I evaluated this service and reported its impact to the project's funders. In addition the results were published as 2 journal articles and presented at conferences both in the UK and Australia. Primary Care based services are now a regular feature of local services.
